About the Venue
The I Shine Theatre and One Kind Studio create a small multipurpose arts venue based at The Orion Primary School just outside Mill Hill in North London. The space is easily accessed from the car park and includes the adaptable hall which can also be used as an exhibition space.
I Shine Theatre is part of the new Arts Hub Project at The Orion Primary School.
Our aim is to bring theatre and arts to the community of Mill Hill, Burnt Oak and Grahame Park and provide a small but creative venue for people to perform in. Theatre is for all however we specialise in helping children from deprived backgrounds an opportunity to access the arts and out of school activities.

The Theatre
This is a small but intimate auditorium, seating up to 110. Our hall is converted into a bright and welcoming foyer area complete with cafe and bar to provide refreshments. The theatre also has facilities for the disabled and baby changing. There is stage space, lighting, great sound and tiered seating hire is possible. Backstage is wonderfully kitted out with a large green room which doubles as a studio too.
The One Kind Studio
Our studio is suitable for small group tuition, meetings,
costume changing and film. The space is finished in green
and blue and great for film and video recording.
One Kind Learning
We have a resident group of actors who are teachers from both the schools. "One Kind Productions" was founded when the Principal began making a daily film for the children during the covid era. The aim of the group is to project positivity through drama. They also wish to show young people that anyone can be creative both on YOUTUBE and in a theatre space.
Our Growing Programme and Partnerships
Since the Arts hub opening in 2022, we have begun providing a cultural hub for children and the whole community. The BYT Charity runs the hub and also sponsors children to attend courses. The staff group One Kind Productions is based here and provides a model of film and theatre to the children.

Live Nights
The venue has been developed to hold live music nights.
The Apple Grove Bar is a wonderful place to meet and chat.
Our two residential DJs provide great music in addition to a live act.
DO More
We believe that children should be able to easily
access activities outside the school day so we also
run some sport. Do More is the name we use for any
activity the gives children a chance.
